Editorial independence
Publishers cannot buy a listing, a rating or a place in our collections. Where we use affiliate links we say so plainly on our affiliate disclosure page, and the link makes no difference to what we write.
About us
Coral-Pixel exists because finding a decent free-to-play game shouldn't mean wading through download portals and paid listings. We currently maintain 10 reviewed titles.
Mission
We are a small editorial team based in Wellington. Our work is simple: play free-to-play games properly, write up what they are actually like, and point readers at the official website rather than a mirror or a marketplace. If a game isn't good, we don't list it.
Coral-Pixel is not a developer, a publisher or a store. We hold no game accounts on your behalf, take no payments for play, and have no gambling or betting content of any kind. Everything on the site is editorial writing plus links out.
How we work
Publishers cannot buy a listing, a rating or a place in our collections. Where we use affiliate links we say so plainly on our affiliate disclosure page, and the link makes no difference to what we write.
Every outbound link points at the publisher's own domain and is re-checked each review cycle. We never link through aggregators, download portals or shortened URLs.
Free to start does not mean free forever. We explain what each game sells, and we say when spending gives a genuine competitive advantage.
We test from New Zealand connections, note where overseas servers add latency, and flag titles that are cramped or unsupported on the devices people here actually use.
The team
Plans the review calendar, plays every title before publication and signs off ratings.
Tests browser and mobile performance, controller support and cross-device saves.
Checks text scaling, colour options, motion settings and input alternatives.
Verifies official links, updates review dates and reads reader submissions.
Read our editorial policy for the criteria behind every rating.
